It would seem that more and more, America's de facto state religion is coming to the fore.
While thought cops such as Morris Dees (echoed by a compliant establishment media), bewail the alleged "growing power of the religious right," a far more ubiquitous and commanding religion occupies stage center--on television, at the movies, in government, politics, society, education and culture.
This new state religion commands total credulity; not to believe in it is to be branded with immediate stigma, an obliquy so potent the skeptic stands in danger of losing his reputation, employment and even his physical security, as a result.
On Feb. 23, 1997, our state religion will once again display its enormous clout.
Warren Littlefield, president of NBC Entertainment, has announced the broadcast of the state religion's 3 and 1/2 hour liturgy WITHOUT COMMERCIAL INTERRUPTION.
For the first time, in the entire history of NBC TV, neither the national network or the local affiliates across America, will be able to break in to advertise.
The liturgy's only interruption will be a somber 210 second intermission, during which a small icon of the Ford Motor Company, will tastefully appear. (Ford, the putative "sponsor," will precede and follow the liturgy with commercials, but will not intrude on the sacerdotal content itself, during the whole of the three and-one-half-hour transmission).
Moreover, the state religion that is the actual sponsor of the liturgy has a huge Temple in our nation's capitol, built on priceless real estate "donated" by American taxpayers.
Our state religion is of course the Gas Chamber Cult. Its chief temple is the U.S. Holocaust Museum. The liturgy to be broadcast is "Schindler's List."
The officially prescribed ecclesiastical term for anyone who dares to question any of the preceding, on constitutional or historical grounds, is "denier."
The Gas Chamber religion is one that all Americans are compelled to believe and its holy liturgy will be dispensed with unprecedented reverence on national televison, Feb. 23, 1997.
An established religion is now a reality and the America of our forefathers is no more. In its stead is a new fanaticism born of old notions of infallibility, enforced by inquisition.
Better bend your knee to the homicidal gas chambers, friend, whether your conscience leads you to believe in this idol or not, to do otherwise will go bad for you and to "denier," they will add their other fearful synonyms for heretic-- "anti-Semite" and "neo-Nazi."
Their priests are hard at work to make such heresy a criminal offense in the U.S., as it is now in Canada, France, Germany and Austria.
Tune in NBC on Feb. 23. Spectate, believe and obey!
